Skyline Soccer Association

Abby C.

November Competitive Female Player of the Month is Abby C!

From her Coach:

She is an amazing teammate, and her work ethic is incredible. She has a “never give up” attitude and brings her all to every game and training session. She is selfless and puts her teammates first, for example... This past weekend, she had a breakaway that she could have easily put away but passed it off to her teammate who got the score instead. She's always working to better herself as a soccer player and teammate and I feel very lucky to be able to coach her.

About Abby:

She is new to Skyline after playing years for a large soccer club. Towards the end of last Spring, Abby wanted to find another Club with a more personal approach that felt like a family, where she could be herself and part of a team while feeling valued as a person. After meeting the 2014G Blue Coach, Mychael, and the Players, she knew she wanted this to be her New Club!

Along with soccer, Abby is the current 9-10 USA Track and Field Colorado Indoor Mile and Half-Mile Champion! She is also currently training to compete in the USATF Junior Olympic National Cross Country Championship this December. Abby thinks Cross Country helps prepare her for soccer, but when she gets back on the soccer field she has to remember “wait, I have a ball now!”

Abby has had some great experiences so far with Skyline. “I really enjoyed being a part of one of the many teams that represented Skyline at the International Mayor’s Cup in Las Vegas last month. It was amazing to see the high-level competition and play at such amazing facilities. I will never forget the memory of getting to compete with my team.” Abby is proud to represent Skyline in Futsal this winter and for helping her team win the 11U P2 Division this Fall… ”I feel very thankful to have found such a welcoming community at Skyline. I want to do my best to represent the club every time I put on my jersey. Go Skyline!”.

CONGRATULATIONS ABBY!
